Hurricane Relief
The WELS Christian Aid and Relief is sending money and manpower to help those affected by the hurricanes in Texas and Florida. For more information on their work, please visit the Christian Aid and Relief website. You can donate online at wels.net/giving. You may also send a check earmarked for WELS Christian Aid and Relief Hurricane Harvey/Irma to WELS Center for Mission and Ministry, N16W23377 Stone Ridge Dr., Waukesha, WI 53188. Please do not call the churches directly because they have all they can handle assisting their members at this time.
May God bless our efforts. May he use natural disasters such as these to remind us to keep our focus on him and not on our earthly possessions. Earthly possessions wear out and can be destroyed. God's love for us in Christ lasts forever.

Another Summer, More Construction
This summer, highway 22 between highway 141 and Oconto Falls will be under construction. There are two ways to get into town. One would be to take County I from Stiles on 141 into town. This will be open all summer. The official detour is taking County A in Lena west to County I south. In mid-July, the detour will take County A all the way to County B south in Spruce. The project is scheduled to be completed by mid-August. Hopefully this will be the last summer of new directions!
Update 5/26: The project is running ahead of schedule so on the 30th the detour will be moved to County B. If they stay on this schedule the project will be done by mid-July.
